State-owned China Assets Fuel Worldwide Ltd. has contracted Woodside Power Group Ltd. for the provision of 600,000 metric tons each year of liquefied pure fuel (LNG) to China over 15 years.

Since final 12 months the Australian oil and fuel exploration and manufacturing firm has roped in main prospects in the important thing LNG importing area of East Asia.

The LNG for China Assets Fuel shall be provided from 2027 on a delivered foundation, Woodside stated in a press launch.

“We’re more than happy to have launched our relationship with China Assets, the nation’s main fuel utility”, commented Woodside government vice chairman and chief business officer Mark Abbotsford. “This marks the primary time Woodside on a standalone foundation has signed a long-term sale settlement with a buyer in China, Asia’s largest consuming marketplace for LNG. And it’s the first time China Assets has signed an settlement to acquire LNG over a interval of 15 years.

Woodside stated the deal is the fourth long-term contract it has signed since 2024 to promote LNG to Asia.

On September 18, 2024, Woodside stated it had signed an settlement to ship 400,000 metric tons a 12 months of LNG to Japan. The ten-year settlement with energy producer JERA Co. Inc. will fulfill its first cargo 2026 on a delivered foundation.

“This LNG offtake settlement is Woodside’s first long-term sale to JERA from our world portfolio”, Abbotsford stated then.

On July 11, 2024, Woodside introduced a deal to produce 6 million metric tons to Taiwan’s nationwide oil and fuel firm CPC Corp. The ten-year provide was to start out final 12 months on a delivered foundation.

“Woodside may ship roughly 8.4 million tonnes of LNG to CPC for an additional 10 years, from 2034 to 2043, topic to circumstances and settlement on phrases for this era”, Woodside stated.

Woodside stated the contract with CPC is its first long-term LNG sale to Taiwan. The provision is to be sourced from Woodside’s world portfolio.

On February 28, 2024, Woodside stated it had inked an settlement with Korea Fuel Corp. (KOGAS) for the provision of 500,000 metric tons a 12 months of LNG to South Korea. The contract lasts 10.5 years on a delivered foundation, beginning 2026.

That is Woodside’s first long-term settlement to produce LNG to South Korea, it stated.
