Exxon’s Vaca Muerta oil belongings — specifically a tract referred to as Bajo del Choique-La Invernada — have been extremely sought-after by Argentine drillers. Exxon owns the belongings with minority companion QatarEnergy.

Exxon is exiting the Vaca Muerta to focus efforts elsewhere, together with Guyana, at the same time as momentum within the formation accelerates underneath the business-friendly authorities of President Javier Milei. Milei is ending the cap on the value of oil traded domestically to deliver it in keeping with exports, whereas pipeline build-outs are boosting capability for crude shipments.

Pluspetrol is managed by two Argentine households. Its South American drilling operations embrace a pure fuel subject in Peru and present acreage within the Vaca Muerta.
