The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) introduced Thursday that it medevaced a 69-year-old motor vessel captain 218 miles offshore Alabama on Wednesday.
Coast Guard Sector Cellular watchstanders obtained a name at 12.17pm through VHF-FM channel 16 from the crew aboard the motor vessel Abroad Anacortes stating their captain was experiencing coronary heart attack-like signs, the USCG stated in a press release posted on its web site.
Watchstanders consulted with the obligation flight surgeon who beneficial the captain obtain higher-level medical care inside eight to 10 hours, the USCG added within the assertion. Earlier this week, the USCG revealed that it had medevaced a 59-year-old man from a towing vessel close to Port Aransas, Texas, on Sunday.
