USA EIA Initiatives Diesel Value Lower in 2025, Improve in 2026

The EIA’s newest STEO sees the U.S. on-highway diesel gas worth averaging $3.65 per gallon within the first quarter of 2025, $3.59 per gallon within the second quarter, $3.60 per gallon within the third quarter, $3.68 per gallon within the fourth quarter, $3.71 per gallon within the first quarter of subsequent 12 months, $3.68 per gallon within the second quarter, $3.70 per gallon within the third quarter, and $3.72 per gallon within the fourth quarter of 2026.

In its earlier STEO, the EIA projected that the U.S. on-highway diesel gas worth would common $3.57 per gallon within the first quarter of 2025, $3.60 per gallon within the second quarter, $3.72 per gallon within the third quarter, $3.76 per gallon within the fourth quarter, $3.70 per gallon within the first quarter of 2026, and $3.62 per gallon throughout the second, third, and 4 quarters of subsequent 12 months.

Current US Diesel Value

The EIA’s newest diesel gas replace, which was launched on February 18, confirmed that the U.S. on-highway diesel gas worth averaged $3.660 per gallon on February 3, $3.665 per gallon on February 10, and $3.677 per gallon on February 17. The February 17 worth was down $0.432 in comparison with the 12 months in the past worth, the gas replace outlined. 

Of the 5 Petroleum Administration for Protection District (PADD) areas highlighted within the EIA’s newest gas replace, the West Coast was proven to have the best U.S. on-highway diesel gas worth as of February 17, at $4.316 per gallon.
