Singa Renewables Pte. Ltd., a three way partnership between TotalEnergies SE and RGE (Royal Golden Eagle) Pte. Ltd., has been granted a conditional license by Singapore’s Power Market Authority (EMA) to import 1 gigawatt (GW) of renewable energy from Indonesia.

TotalEnergies additionally stated in a media launch that the three way partnership companions signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Singapore Power Interconnections Pte. Ltd. to collectively develop a subsea interconnector, enabling electrical energy imports from Indonesia to Singapore.

The 2 firms earlier formalized a Co-Funding Settlement to assemble, develop, and handle a hybrid renewable vitality facility that features a photo voltaic farm, a battery vitality storage system (BESS), and an underwater cable in Riau Province, Indonesia.
