Technip Energies, JGC Rating FEED Job for Rovuma LNG venture in Mozambique

A partnership between Technip Energies N.V. and JGC Corp. has been contracted by Exxon Mobil Corp. to ship a front-end engineering design (FEED) for the Rovuma liquefied pure gasoline (LNG) venture.

The Rovuma LNG venture at Palma within the Afungi peninsula, northeast of Mozambique, will encompass an LNG plant with a complete manufacturing capability of 18 million tonnes each year (Mtpa), comprising 12 totally modularized LNG trains of 1.5 Mtpa every. It’s a three way partnership of ExxonMobil, Eni SPA and CNPC.

Along with producing LNG for worldwide markets, the venture will provide Mozambique with as much as 17,000 tonnes of LPG per yr.

The design of the plant will incorporate LNG trains powered by electrical energy as a substitute of gasoline generators, leading to decrease greenhouse gasoline emissions in comparison with conventional LNG tasks.

The venture will contain prefabricated and standardized modules that can be put collectively on the Mozambique website, offering price competitiveness and making certain a predictable supply schedule, Technip Energies stated in a press launch.
