Seaway7, a part of the Subsea7 Group, has secured a $50–150 million contract from PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna and Ørsted to move and set up substations for the Baltica 2 wind farm offshore Poland.
“Seaway7’s scope consists of the transport and set up of 4 substations. Offshore exercise is scheduled to happen in 2026 using each our heavy raise and heavy transportation vessels”, the corporate stated in a media launch.
Baltica 2 is a 50-50 enterprise between PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna and Ørsted. The wind farm, with a capability of round 1.5 gigawatts, can be situated on the Polish aspect of the Baltic Sea round 24.8 miles (40 kilometers) from shore at its closest level, Seaway7 stated.
