PTAS Aker Options Secures Contract Extension with Brunei Shell Petroleum

PTAS Aker Options Sdn. Bhd., a three way partnership between Aker Options ASA and PTAS Sdn. Bhd., has secured a two-year deal extension with Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP) for offshore upkeep and modification companies.

Aker Options stated in a media launch that the contract extension is a results of BSP exercising an choice included within the present settlement. Aker Options stated the deal is a big one, that means it’s valued between NOK 1.5 billion ($149.2 million) and NOK 2.5 billion ($248.6 million).

The work will likely be managed by PTAS Aker Options’ workplace in Kuala Belait, Brunei Darussalam. The scope of labor covers upkeep and upgrades to maintain manufacturing ranges throughout offshore property within the South China Sea, with PTAS Aker Options serving as the principle contractor, Aker Options stated.

Aker Options stated it had obtained its preliminary ORMC contract with Brunei Shell Petroleum in 2012 and renewed the contract in 2020 beneath the title PTAS Aker Options. PTAS Aker Options merges native execution abilities with the in depth worldwide experience of Aker Options.

This contract will likely be recorded as an order consumption within the Life Cycle section through the second quarter of 2025, Aker Options stated.
