Imperial Oil Ltd. has agreed to slash the air transport price of gasoline flown to Norman Wells, Northwestern Territories, after the city declared a state of emergency over excessive gasoline costs.

The airline supply price for diesel has been set at CAD 1.69 ($1.2) a liter, from CAD 3.38 ($2.4) beforehand, beginning Tuesday, in accordance with communication from the corporate shared by the city’s official Fb web page.
