Halliburton Power Companies and Coterra Power Inc. have launched an autonomous hydraulic fracturing expertise in North America.

The Octiv Auto Frac service, which is a part of the ZEUS platform, automates the execution of stage deliveries. Coterra is the primary operator to completely automate and management each their hydraulic fracturing design and execution, in line with Halliburton.

The Octiv Auto Frac service provides new capabilities to Halliburton’s Zeus clever fracturing platform and its main electrical pumping models and Sensori fracture monitoring service, the corporate stated in a media launch. Earlier than this service, fracture choices have been managed manually whereas pumping, it stated. Coterra can now configure the Octiv Auto Frac service to execute designs to their specs and automate all the fracture course of.

Halliburton stated that the preliminary rollout of this service led to a 17 p.c enhance in stage effectivity. Based mostly on the outcome, Coterra deployed the Octiv Auto Frac service to its remaining completion packages that Halliburton executes within the Permian Basin.
