Flex LNG CEO Kalleklev Resigns

After seven and a half years as chief govt officer (CEO) of liquefied pure fuel (LNG) delivery firm Flex LNG, Øystein Kalleklev has resigned. He joined Flex LNG in October 2017 and was appointed CEO in August of the next yr.

Present chief industrial officer Marius Foss has been appointed interim CEO, Flex LNG stated in a media launch. Kelleklev will stay with the corporate in an advisory capability till the tip of the third quarter to make sure a easy transition, Flex LNG stated.

“On behalf of the Board, I want to categorical our appreciation for Øystein’s management and the lasting impression he has had on the corporate. Below his stewardship, the corporate has delivered sturdy efficiency and shareholder worth creation. Whereas we remorse his resolution to step down, we’re grateful for his dedication and need him all the easiest in his future”, Ola Lorentzon, Chairman of Flex LNG, stated.

Kalleklev stated, “Collectively over the past seven and a half years, now we have constructed from scratch a first-class LNG delivery firm which is uniquely positioned with a considerable contract backlog and a fortress stability sheet”.

“After a protracted stint as CEO, I do nevertheless really feel it’s about time for me to maneuver on pursuing different alternatives. Therefore, I’m very glad that the Board has determined to nominate Marius Foss as interim CEO. Marius has been instrumental within the growth and implementation of Flex LNG’s industrial technique since he joined the Firm in 2018 so with him on the helm, Flex LNG is in very protected and succesful arms”, Kalleklev added.
