The European Union’s renewable power financing mechanism (RENEWFM) has awarded EUR27.5 million ($30.1 million) to seven solar energy tasks in Finland.
In response to a press launch by the European Local weather, Infrastructure and Surroundings Govt Company (CINEA), initially, eight tasks have been awarded funding to construct their photovoltaic infrastructure in Finland. Seven of the eight tasks have made it by way of to signing grant agreements with CINEA. These seven tasks have a mixed capability of 212.99 megawatts-peak (MWp).
The seven tasks are Loukkaanaro Photo voltaic Park, Niittyneva Photo voltaic Park, Ohrasuo Photo voltaic Park, Koirivaara Photo voltaic Park, Honkisaarenneva PV Photo voltaic Park, Kuortane Photo voltaic, and Poytya Photo voltaic.
The Loukkaanaro Photo voltaic Park (20 MWp) is situated in Utajärvi. This challenge would be the largest photo voltaic farm in northern Finland upon completion in 2025. It has been allotted EUR 2.3 million ($2.5 million) from RENEWFM.
Niittyneva Photo voltaic Park (eight MWp) is anticipated to start manufacturing in February 2025 with a capability of seven,240 MW hours yearly. The challenge has been granted EUR 837,000 ($866,700).
Ohrasuo Photo voltaic Park (7.8 MWp) is situated in jap Finland, and the ability is scheduled to enter operation by April 2025 with a yearly manufacturing of seven.2 gigawatt hours (GWh). The challenge has secured EUR 990,000 ($1.07 million) from the CINEA.
CINEA has awarded EUR 5.2 million ($5.6 million) to the Koirivaara Photo voltaic Park (30 MWp), located in North Karelia. The company stated that the challenge is anticipated to generate 27.2 GWh per yr, with the completion date set for December 2025.
Honkisaarenneva PV Photo voltaic Park (33 MWp) has been awarded EUR 4.1 million ($4.4 million), whereas the 67.6 GWh Kuortane Photo voltaic challenge in Leppälänkylä has been awarded EUR 9.9 million ($10.7 million). The Poytya Photo voltaic (40.16 MWp) in southwest Finland has been awarded EUR 4 million ($4.3 million), in response to CINEA.
