Equinor ASA’s exploration nicely 35/11-28 S, named Harden sor, within the North Sea has been declared dry, the Norwegian Offshore Directorate mentioned.
Harden sor, operated by Equinor Power AS, is the sixth nicely to be drilled within the manufacturing license 248 C. The drilling was accomplished by the Deepsea Stavanger rig 80.7 miles (130 kilometers) northwest of Bergen and 5.6 miles (9.0 kilometers) west of the Fram area, the Directorate mentioned in a media launch.
The target of the nicely was to show petroleum in Higher Jurassic reservoir rocks within the Heather Formation. In response to the directorate, the nicely encountered the Heather Formation with a complete depth of about 383.8 ft (117 meters), 95 ft (29 meters) of which have been a sandstone reservoir with average to poor reservoir high quality and traces of hydrocarbons.
Effectively 35/11-28 S was drilled to a vertical depth of 10,728 ft (3270 meters) under sea stage and was terminated within the Heather Formation within the Higher Jurassic.
The nicely has been completely plugged and deserted, the directorate mentioned.
The Directorate earlier reported two dry wells, owned by Var Energi and drilled within the manufacturing license 917. The wells 25/7-12 S and A are situated some 124 miles northwest of Stavanger within the North Sea.
The Hubert and Magellan prospects have been the third and fourth wells on this manufacturing license. Effectively 25/7-12 S was drilled to respective measured and vertical depths of 7352 ft and 6280 ft under sea stage. Effectively 25/7-12 A was drilled to respective measured and vertical depths of 6637 ft and 6437 ft under sea stage, the Directorate mentioned.
