A Hyundai Heavy Industries shipyard in Ulsan, South Korea, has held a steel-cutting ceremony for 17 liquefied pure fuel (LNG) tankers ordered by Qatar Fuel Transport Co. Ltd. (Nakilat), marking the beginning of development.

Designed with a capability of 174,000 cubic meters (6.14 million cubic toes) every, the vessels will likely be deployed for QatarEnergy as a part of the state-owned LNG main’s fleet growth and modernization program.
