Chevron Is in Contact With Trump Administration Over Venezuela

Chevron Corp. is in communication with the Trump administration as some Republicans name for the US to revoke the corporate’s license to function in Venezuela.

“We’re in touch with the present administration,” Chevron Chief Govt Officer Mike Wirth mentioned in an interview Wednesday on Bloomberg Tv. “We work carefully with the federal government to know their goals, to know their limitations.”

Chevron is the one main oil producer with a waiver from the US authorities to function in Venezuela regardless of sanctions towards President Nicolás Maduro’s regime. The corporate produces about 20% of Venezuela’s oil and helped increase exports to a five-year excessive in 2024, nearing Maduro’s objective of 1 million barrels per day.
