BP Plc restarted one in every of two manufacturing platforms in Azerbaijan’s largest pure fuel deposit of Shah Deniz that’s been out of operation for greater than every week resulting from an unplanned outage.

The Alpha platform, which feeds into pure fuel export streams to Europe, restarted on Saturday night, operator BP mentioned in an emailed assertion. Alpha will take a couple of days to succeed in regular manufacturing and export ranges after halting earlier this month. A second platform, Bravo, was unaffected.

The resumption of Alpha follows “the complete decision of the technical subject within the subsea condensate export line between the Shah Deniz Alpha platform and the Sangachal terminal,” BP’s Baku workplace mentioned.

Alpha offers about 36 p.c of manufacturing from the offshore Shah Deniz deposit, in accordance with BP knowledge. The remaining comes from the second platform, Bravo. The corporate has a stake of about 30 p.c within the discipline.
