Chart Secures LNG Tech Order from ExxonMobil

Cryogenic tools producer Chart Industries Inc. has been contracted to supply liquefied pure gasoline (LNG) tools, know-how, and providers for Exxon Mobil Corp’s world undertaking portfolio.

The settlement contains the availability of chilly containers, in addition to Chart’s proprietary Built-in Pre-Cooled Single Combined Refrigerant (IPSMR) course of know-how, Chart mentioned.

For the contract, Chart will use a standardized design-and-build strategy, optimizing value, schedule, and high quality, Chart mentioned.

This collaboration expands on Chart’s prior involvement in ExxonMobil’s Mozambique LNG undertaking and additional demonstrates a shared dedication to enhancing LNG manufacturing capabilities throughout varied world places, the corporate mentioned.

Jill Evanko, CEO and President of Chart Industries, mentioned, “Chart’s industry-leading LNG know-how, together with our chilly containers and IPSMR course of, aligns with ExxonMobil’s dedication to environment friendly, scalable, and dependable LNG options. This settlement additional strengthens our position as a trusted companion for ExxonMobil’s vitality initiatives worldwide”.

Chart mentioned its chilly containers and IPSMR know-how are designed to maximise effectivity, optimize efficiency, and assist cost-effective LNG manufacturing.

Earlier Chart mentioned it has been tapped to supply its IPSMR liquefaction know-how and chilly containers for Section 1 of Woodside Vitality Group Ltd’s Louisiana LNG undertaking. The undertaking, owned and operated by Woodside and managed by Bechtel Vitality Inc. because the EPC contractor, is positioned in Louisiana, USA, and was beforehand often known as the Driftwood LNG undertaking.

Below the order awarded in December 2024, Chart mentioned it can assist Section 1 of Louisiana LNG by offering two LNG vegetation comprising 16 chilly containers for 11 million tonnes each year of manufacturing. Every LNG plant contains 4 Heavies Removing Chilly Bins and 4 LNG Liquefaction Chilly Bins.
