Velesto Vitality Bhd. (Velesto) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Petroliam Nasional Bhd. (Petronas) and Nationwide Oilwell Varco L.P. (NOV) to implement rig mechanized automation processes and combine robotics into drilling operations.

Valesto stated in a media launch the MOU had been signed by Valesto Drilling and Petronas’ Malaysia Petroleum Administration. The MOU seeks to create a joint framework that makes use of NOV’s drilling automation system and different power carbon optimization options, together with robotics expertise, on rigs operated by Velesto, to enhance operational efficiency and security.

This partnership additionally goals to boost and optimize the effectivity of drilling operations in Malaysia, lower emissions, and obtain value effectiveness via using superior automation and digitalization applied sciences as important facilitators, Valesto stated.
